The People
Leah found yoga 17 years ago when she was at an impasse. Yoga was the pathway by which she has become the centered, resilient practitioner she is today. Yoga is Leah’s first true love. She maintains a personal daily practice in addition to guiding others through establishing or building their own relationship with yoga. She understands that we all come to it from a different place and perspective, and enjoys working with students from all backgrounds and relationships with their practice.
Leah’s teaching style leans somatic, which means verbal cues on alignment are minimal and meant to provide comfort. She curates the space so that students are able to perceive their bodies and how they are aligned in the practice, but also so students are experiencing yoga, not just performing it. Yoga is the connection between all of the bodies, cerebral, physical, and spiritual. By offering intentional soundscapes, holotropic breathing practices, gentle physical cues, and integrating mental guidance with physical postures, Leah stewards the space where the three bodies can return home to one another, where you can move beyond the daily grind or survival mode to a space where you are fully integrated and synchronized.
